Inside the Virtual Social Networking Conference..

The First-Ever Social Networking Conference took place December 19, 2007... On the average there were 92 registered participants online throughout the day. The conference began at 8:00 am and began to trickle to an end at around 9:30 pm.

It was commented by most that I was in contact with that the conference was a SUCCESS.. The chat room had many conversation circulating:

*Social Networking vs Dating, are they like oil and vinegar?

*Anonymous calling and background checks were discussed.

*Video conferencing.

*Venture Capital funding questions.

Many interesting conversations were "thrown" into the chat. At one time about 43 users were chatting.

As the hour comes to a close...It has been a long day. Virtual event was a success. I met a lot of new people. Many possible future speakers..Looking forward to seeing everyone in Miami in January 2008.

Will there be another virtual conference for Ticonderoga Ventures? I believe the success of this conference answers that question.

Virtual Social Networking Conference?

That is correct....The first-ever Social Netowkring Conference will be taking place December 19, 2007 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, right from the comfort of your own office or home.

The one day virtual event is FREE. Our Silver Sponsors, PRINGO NETWORKS, is hosting the event for us. Userplane will be providing the chat software (including Video Chat for those with webcams - we recommend webcams). On that day, you will be able to meet others attending the event.

You can do the following:
View attendee profiles
Introduce yourself and your business
Send others messages
Text chat with others

Call or audio chat with other attendees (Must have a microphone with speakers or a PC headset)

Video Chat with them. (Must have a webcam)

The goal of the virtual event is to make the Miami event most effective for you. By attending the virtual event in advance, you will have the ability to speak directly with other delegates. Exhibitors can be viewed and you have the ability to speak directly with them as to what they do. With a web cam, you will be able to have video meetings with others.

You should use December 19 day to:
Introduce yourself to others
Plan appointments for the Miami event
View the exhibitors and ask them questions.

Time runs quickly at the Miami event, which is the largest event of the year. With attendance expected to be at an all time high, it is physically impossible to meet everyone in Miami. We wanted to make the event perform as best as possible for our delegates. The virtual conference on December 19 will have industry executives from all over the world meeting with one another.

If you are not sure about attending Miami this year, then let the virtual conference help you decide. Its free! We recommend the following:

1) A WebCam. These are fairly inexpensive and can be found anywhere.

2) A PC Headset: If you don't have a webcam, a PC Headset is good to make audio calls. At the virtual event, you can choose to either be proactive by contacting others attending the event, or passive by letting other contact you.

You can still do all the things you normally do in your office (answer calls, send email, play video games, etc :-). Just stay logged into the site from 8AM EST to 8PM EST so that people can contact you.
